After 52 years and 6 generations of the American pony car, when Ford finally decided to bring the iconic Mustang to India, they were hoping big from the rapidly emerging market. Showing love for the muscle car icon, India did not disappoint Ford either and the first allotted batch of the car is already been sold out within 15 days of the official launch.
Launched in India on July 12, Mustang is available in India in top spec GT version with 5.0-litre V8 engine under the hood at the price of ₹ 65 lakh (Ex-showroom) making it the cheapest V8 car available in India right now. Even though the bookings of the car is only available at Mumbai and Delhi initially, reports says that the first allotted numbers of the Mustang have been sold out already and now the people who want to buy it will have to wait until the next batch arrives.
Before the 6th generation Mustang, Ford never made right hand drive version of the car so India could never taste the power of the Mustang. Now that it has arrived, will see how many American muscle lover India have!
