Mahindra Electric has launched a four-door version of their electric car e2o named ‘e2o Plus’. The e2o Plus will be available in four variants P2, P4, P6 and P8 and the price range of ₹ 5.46 lakh – ₹ 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Mahindra has already decided to drop the name ‘Reva’ used for their electric vehicles so unlike the 2-door e2o, the e2o Plus gets a new front grille which is seen in Mahindra’s SUVs. It is longer by 310 mm, wider by 61 mm and taller by 25 mm than it’s 2-door sibling. The wheelbase too is increased by massive 300 mm that results in plenty of more room in the cabin.
The P2, P4 and P6 variants of the Mahindra e2o Plus gets the power from a 19 kW electric motor paired with a 48V battery pack. In a single charge, it can be driven for about 110 km range. The top speed is claimed to be 80 km/h. While the top-end P8 variant gets more powerful 30kW motor powered by a 72V battery pack. It offers a longer range of 140km in a single charge with a top speed of 85 km/h. The bigger battery takes about 9 hours to get fully charged.
Mahindra is investing big amount of time and money after the electric vehicles. The e2o plus is Mahindra’s third fully electric vehicle launch this year after the eVerito and eSupro.
