Mercedes Benz has launched top variant 250d of it’s much popular C-class at ₹ 44.36 lakh (Ex-showroom, Pune). The new variant will be locally manufactured in India at Mercedes-Benz’s Pune plant.
C 250d is equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s advanced 9G-Tronic transmission system. The German manufacturer already offers C 200 and C 220d in the C-class now the 250d will be placed above both of them as the top variant.
Talking about local production of the car, Roland Folger, Mercedes Benz India MD and CEO said “The overwhelming response for the new C-Class drove us to commence the local manufacturing of the C 250d simultaneously with its introduction in India. ”
Mercedes-Benz has lined up about 12 launches for this year. The C 250d is company’s 4th launch of the year so far followed by GLE 450 Coupe, E class ‘Edition E’ and Maybach Guard. Next launch is of S400 which is scheduled to be on 29th March.
