To get a step closer to the young generation that deals with everything on their fingertips, Renault India has announced a strategic tie-up with mobile payment and commerce platform Paytm. After this tie-up, customers can now book Renault’s much popular entry level hatchback Kwid using Paytm or even while booking at the dealerships, payment can be done through Paytm wallet.
Currently, the bookings on Paytm is only available for the people of Delhi-NCR region. However, this partnership will be extended to the other parts of the country gradually and will also add other car models of the company to the digital platform.
Earlier, car manufacturers did use the e-commerce platform like Flipkart and Snapdeal for the bookings but Renault is the first auto company to partner with a platform like Paytm. Paytm has already updated it’s website and started taking the bookings with an amount of ₹ 10,000 for any of the five variants available. Paytm is also offering ₹ 10,000 cashback on the bookings being done now.
After seeing Kwid getting popular in the young generation, Renault India is trying to take out of it as much as they can and this initiative seems to be one of those strategic steps. Kwid on the other hand, is performing extremely well in the market and has been in the top 10 sold cars constantly for past few months. It has also helped Renault to get fair amount of market share in India and the company is seeing rapid growth in the country like never before.
