Skoda India has revealed it’s future plans and strategies in India for the year 2016-17. Company will be launching four new models in the country by the end of 2017 which includes the full size SUV Kodiaq, RS version of it’s sedan Octavia, facelifted Rapid and one is still undisclosed. India will also get two of Skoda’s ‘Action Models’ – the Octavia Black Edition and the Rapid Monte Carlo Edition next year.
Skoda will also make an investment of ₹ 100 crore on the after sales service to provide a better consumer satisfaction. All cars of the company will now have a standard 4-year/1 lakh km warranty and roadside assistance for 4-year/unlimited km as standard. Company will launch it’s own Skoda service app for the customers which is claimed to be the best in class. Also if the customer don’t get the car service done on the same day or do not get an itemized bill for the service, the entire amount of the service will be refunded.
On the safety perspective, Skoda already offers dual front airbags as standard across all models and by the end of this year, all the models will also have ABS as standard. All this comes for a price though, as it is also been announced that the company will increase the prices of the cars from 1st September.
Among the announced models, the Kodiaq 7-seater SUV is yet to make it’s global debut. When comes to India, the Kodiaq will be put against the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
