The 2016 Renault Duster which was unveiled at the Auto Expo last month is now officially launched in the country with price starting from ₹ 8.46 lakh. With as much as 32 changes in interiors and exterior, New Duster is now available with 6-speed Easy-R AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) and new Cayenne Orange colour option.
The AMT version will only available in diesel variant which costs ₹ 11.67 lakh. The new Renault Duster is powered by a 1.5-litre K9K dCi diesel engine offering two states of tunes- 84bhp/200Nm and 108bhp/245Nm which is mated on 6-speed manual/6-speed AMT Transmission. Fuel efficiency is claimed to be 19.72 km/l for manual and 19.6kmpl for the AMT.
On the outside, Duster has got some major updates such as New hawkeye cluster headlamps, 16-inch gunmetal finished alloy wheels, updated front chrome grille, and LED tail lamps at rear. New Duster now gets electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs. Inside for comfort, New Duster now have a rearview camera with guidelines, automatic AC, anti-pinch power windows and a 7-inch infotainment system with navigation. On the board of safety, Renault has added Dual front airbags, ABS, EBD with Brake Assist, ESP and Hill hold assist in the New Duster.
The well equipped SUV will compete against Hyundai Creta, Mahindra TUV300, Ford EcoSport and the Maruti’s upcoming Vitara Brezza.
